| Increased Security for
Shared Computers |
|
The ContactNet login option for increased security at shared
computers is designed for users who login from libraries, schools, or Internet cafes. This
login option expires pages from the browser's cache when you log out of your account. This
means that as long as you log out, the pages you visited while in ContactNet cannot be
viewed by other users of a shared computer. To use this feature, you must have a browser
(Netscape or IE) that is version 3.0 or higher.
| NOTE: You may
experience some slowness while using this option due to pages not being cached on your
local disk drive. Also, there is a possibility that you may see an Expired Page; simply
use your browser's refresh button and you will be directed to the appropriate page. You
will need to manually set this option each time upon login. |
